As a member of the IS and Operations Team, you will provide key support in the evaluation, installation, maintenance and day-to-day support of a variety of communications equipment and be actively involved in the planning & implementation of telecom projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process MACDs (move/add/change/delete) activities
  • Provide timely virtual support for escalated inquiries/issues
  • Identify, evaluate, test & implement voice solutions and enhancements to support business needs
  • Process telecom equipment requests
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training to new staff or when new telecom and contact center related solutions are implemented
  • Other sundry duties as required


  • Working toward a College diploma/degree in telecom and/or related discipline will be considered an asset
  • Able to think in a logical manner, troubleshoot & investigate issues presented by the user community via remote desktop software to resolution
  • Knowledge & proficiency in the use of various network & telecom technologies & peripherals including but not limited to  VoIP, Avaya platforms, as well as PSTN, T1, VPLS/MPLS, QoS, Videoconferencing, headsets, CDR & Billing systems, and networking devices
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, Windows 7, including MS Project, Visio & Excel
  • Able to install, test and diagnose software issues,
  • Able to multi-task and organize self to manage multiple activities & issues, including but not limited to managing service desk  ticket escalations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong documentation & organizational skills
