Position Summary

SE Health is seeking Nursing Students to join our team as a Personal Support Workers who have a passion for caring for others.  Individuals who can not only assist clients with activities of personal care, meals, recreational activities and household management, but who take the time to foster relationships and truly understand the wants and needs of those that they provide care to. This is a great opportunity for nursing students to gain valuable clinical experience that transferable to future nursing careers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Nursing Student (Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse Program)
  • Completed 2 Clinical Placements
  • Availability to work flexible schedules and every other weekend
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle and willingness to travel
  • Updated immunization record (including a TB test completed within the past 12 months), clear criminal background check and Vulnerable sector check is required  
  • A willingness to attain required SE Health  certifications
  • Proficient computer/technological skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Works well in a changing environment
  • A demonstrated appreciation for Quality Improvement processes
  • A current CPR and First Aid certificate is required
