POSITION SUMMARY:

Part-Time - Registered Dietitian -  Mississauga area and Brampton

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate Registered Dietitian (RD) who wants to be part of the home and community care team by providing care in a truly client-centered approach. You will focus on client-centered goals addressing client’s needs and creating a care plan.

Sign on Bonus $3,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes nutritional assessments as required,

  • Determines individualized diets and other nutritional interventions

  • Develops, implements and evaluates nutritional care plans that includes identification of nutritional concerns, goals and interventions

  • Review nutritional adequacy

  • Educates regarding nutrition and hydration recommendations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • General Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

  • Experience with tube feeding

  • Experience in one of the following areas: home/community care, acute care, chronic disease management, health promotion, palliative care and mental health

  • Having diverse experiences with different client groups and practice settings will be an asset

  • Previous work experience in rehabilitation preferred

  • Enthusiasm and love of community rehabilitative care

  • Excellent assessment skills and a strong clinical background

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to take initiative and adaptable to rapidly changing demands

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and critical thinking skills

  • Membership with a Professional Association such as the Dietitians of Canada is an asset

  • A vehicle and valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
