POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for conducting centralized revenue activities in a timely manner. 

Please note that this role is a 4 month contract and you will be working remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains accurate billing research, timekeeping, and contract expire report logs
  • Escalates billing research, timekeeping and expired contract date non-compliance to the Revenue Manager
  • Communicates with members of the health care team in the SDC’s and with the Billing Team in Corporate
  • Provides excellent customer service by responding to internal and external customers with efficiency, courtesy and appropriate urgency
  • Ensures that authorization has been requested from clients or payers when a Contract Date extension has/has not been requested
  • Researches all rejected billings, investigates and follows up on errors/discrepancies in services ordered/provided according to established timelines
  • Submits billing records from research to Billing Coordinator
  • Ensures all visits are verified or cancelled to meet billing and payroll cycle requirements
  • Train new and existing staff

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Intermediate computer application skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Typing 45 wpm or better
  • Experience with using a PC database is required; Procura experience preferred
  • Intermediate data entry skills
  • Detail oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • An ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving
  • An ability to work independently
  • Three years of related work experience preferred
