HIRING FOR MENTAL HEALTH NURSE (RN)

We are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse, passionate about providing person and family centered care to clients’ with complex mental health needs. The RN will be responsible for symptom management through complete mental status and risk assessments. You will develop, implement and evaluate client-centered care plans and assist clients with activities of daily living. You will link clients to community resources, provide education and health promotion. You will provide verbal and written reports and maintain accurate client records.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 6 months experience focusing on mental health
  • Completion of a Community Mental Health Course through an accredited College or University/recent equivalent knowledge
  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience and knowledge using mental health modalities
  • Availability to work days, evenings and weekends, flexibility in scheduling
  • Ability to work independently or as party of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Sound decision making skills with the ability to plan care for clients with complex needs
  • CPR Certificate
