Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation, the Compensation Analyst supports the design, analysis and ongoing administration of Total Rewards programs to ensure that SE Health’s rewards offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals. This role analyzes salary data, market trends, and internal pay structures to support compensation decisions, maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and help attract and retain talent. This role will provide insights and recommendations on pay practices, job evaluations, salary benchmarking, perks and incentive programs.

Job Responsibilities:

Compensation Analysis and Market Insights

  • Complete market compensation surveys, analyze market data, and prepare results for distribution to the business and/or HR Business Partners.
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis on existing and proposed compensation programs.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools for market data analysis, salary benchmarking, and identification of pay anomalies.
  • Identify trends, summarize findings, and draft recommendations to ensure programs are internally equitable and market competitive.
  • Research and advise on emerging skills-based pay models.
  • Support SE Health’s transition toward aligning rewards to demonstrated skills and competencies in addition to job-level structures.
  • Translate compensation data into actionable insights that enhance employee experience and engagement.

 

Total Rewards Program Administration and Support

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all compensation-related processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable legislation and internal policies. 
  • Support the regular review, standardization, and accuracy checking of job descriptions as part of job grading and classification processes, leveraging available tools to maintain pay structure integrity.
  • Support pay equity analysis and audits.
  • Monitor and apply emerging pay transparency regulations and proactively flag implications for SE Health's compensation structures and job posting practices.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support as required to various Total Rewards programs including recognition, benefits and savings. 
  • Supports the administration of benefits and pension programs to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of services.

 

Workday Compensation Administration

  • Review and approve compensation transactions in Workday.
  • Confirm transactions adhere to internal pay structures, budgets, and authorization thresholds.
  • Ensure timely review and processing of transactions to meet payroll and business deadlines.
  • Evaluate and recommend opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within Workday to improve workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting; participate in Workday compensation module enhancements and testing.
  • Analyze transaction patterns to identify recurring issues, policy gaps, or training needs. 
  • Contribute to enhancements in Workday workflows, controls, and user guidance.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree preferred (HR, Business Administration, Accounting & Finance)
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in Compensation with expertise in job analysis, market analysis, program design, managing and administrating compensation programs across multiple business lines. 
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Experience in market compensation survey preparation and analysis.
  • Highly detail-oriented, excellent attention to detail and accuracy focused.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines is required. 
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation an asset.
  • A passionate advocate for employee experience, committed to creating innovative solutions that support SE Health’s People Everything approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; superior experience building Excel models and graphical displays of data is essential (Power BI).
