ABOUT YOU – POSITION SUMMARY

As the Decision Support Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping SE Health’s data ecosystem – transforming raw data into clear insights, shaping consistent usage, and enabling meaningful action. You will partner with teams across the organization to uncover opportunities, tell compelling data stories, and guide the building of tools that drive performance and confidence in decision-making.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who thrives at the intersection of analytics, systems, and people. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Decision Support, you are excited by the opportunity to:

  • lead the development of dashboards and reports;

  • strengthen data governance and architecture;

  • support the enterprise-wide migration to modern reporting platforms;

  • grow the organization’s data capabilities; and,

  • increase data literacy by connecting sound data foundations with practical insights.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Lead data analytics and reporting solutions | Develop and sustain digital reporting tools such as dashboards and reports that enable teams to make informed, data-informed decisions.

  • Partner with parties of interest to define and prioritize reporting needs, ensuring solutions are organized, intuitive, and actionable.

  • Manage multiple projects and guide technical teams in developing reports that align with business and clinical priorities.

  • Champion design standards that elevate user experience (UX) and foster adoption.

     

Strengthen data foundations and governance | Ensure SE Health’s data environment is reliable, standardized, and strategically aligned.

  • Collaborate with Digital Team colleagues and organizational business partners to influence the enterprise data architecture supporting analytics and reporting.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of standardized data definitions, business rules, and key metrics.

  • Support data governance initiatives that promote quality, compliance, and consistency across systems.

 

Guide report migration and modernization | Play a leading role in SE Health’s transition from legacy reporting tools to modern platforms such as Power BI.

  • Oversee report consolidation and migration, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and improved user experience.

  • Partner with users to reimagine reports as interactive, insight-driven dashboards that enhance decision-making.

  • Support change management and training efforts to ensure strong adoption and sustained value.

     

 

Analyze, interpret, and communicate insights | Conduct in-depth data analysis and communicate findings that drive performance improvement and strategic decisions.

  • Translate complex data into clear visuals, insights, and recommendations.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on data-informed decision-making across business, operational, and clinical areas.

  • Identify patterns, data quality issues, and opportunities for performance improvement.

 

Champion data literacy and culture | Grow organizational confidence and capability in using data.

  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship on data interpretation and storytelling.

  • Promote best practices in analytics and support a culture where data informs strategy and innovation.

  • Be a trusted advisor for colleagues seeking to better understand, communicate, and act on data.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, data analytics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, social sciences, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and digital solution development and implementation

  • Demonstrated leadership within a Decision Support or Business Intelligence function, with a focus on strategy development and performance measurement

  • Proven experience in data architecture design, enterprise reporting environments, or data integration projects

  • Understanding of data governance practices, including standardized definitions, metadata management, and data quality management

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience validating and auditing data for accuracy

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scope and priority in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Skillful application of adult learning principles when training or coaching others

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Teams, Outlook)

  • Comfortable leading and collaborating in a hybrid or work-from-home environment

 

Assets

  • Familiarity with MicroStrategy and experience migrating to Power BI or other modern BI platforms

  • Graduate-level education in a related field

  • Project Management (PMP) and/or Change Management certification or experience

  • Experience within healthcare or other highly regulated sectors
