Job Summary

You're a full stack developer with good experience working within a team to deliver production-grade enterprise products.  Although passionate about building solutions that integrate a multitude of systems, you’re not adverse to tackling the challenges of legacy applications.  You seek to fully understand the business needs for work assigned to you and thrive in environments where you have some independence in your work and take ownership over your deliverables.  In collaboration with business systems analysts and more senior technical leads and developers, you’re engaged in all phases of the application support and development lifecycle to develop solutions, integrations with internal/external solutions as well as support the development of standards, best practices and methodologies.

Duration: This is a 6-months contract

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with peers and more senior team members to formulate effective designs, development, and delivery of various application components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and implementation of custom solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to architecture and design principles and best practices during the design and development of solutions.
  • Develop, test, and implement remediation's which meet functional and technical specifications required for applications & processes.
  • Use advanced application programming concepts to resolve business issues.
  • Regularly work on moderately complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Develop and implement scalable web service APIs.
  • Meet deadlines and manages multiple, dynamic priorities.
  • Support initiatives to implement process efficiencies as well as the introduction of automated tool(s).
  • Provide production support to assigned applications (not overnight or 24/7).
  • Communicate effectively while working in a team-oriented environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or other technically relevant degree.
  • Minimum 4 years full stack engineering experience, providing both project as well as production support.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing web-based solutions, system interfaces and/or vendor solutions.
  • Experience/familiarity with adaptive/responsive design.
  • Demonstrated experience in using and adhering to a Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Good understanding of application design, relational database, design patterns and object-oriented principles. 
  • Good understanding and experience with formal IT project methodologies, processes and practices. 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills that rely on a structured approach to analysis.
  • Ability to create design documentation in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with business and technical staff, project managers in both oral and written form. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure software delivery tools.
  • Good programming skills in C#, .Net, MS SQL database tools.
  • Working knowledge of web technologies, specifically ASP.Net, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap, cross-browser compatibility
  • Strong SQL/ Query Knowledge with experience performance tuning of application and database environments.
  • Experience with data integrations is an asset.
  • EHR and Healthcare domain experience is an asset.
  • Mobile development experience is a strong asset.
  • ESB (Boomi, Mule, etc.) low code workflow development experience is an asset.
