As the Decision Support Analyst, you are part of a collaborative team that plays a key role in creating digital data solutions based on analytics and identified opportunities. Your solutions impact operational outcomes and are used by internal stakeholders to support both strategic and day-to-day decisions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Decision Support, you work closely with business partners and are a trusted advisor in making strategic decisions to improve quality, performance, and user experience.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collect, understand, and document requirements, business needs, stakeholder input, processes, and gaps
Support organizational decision-making by designing/framing queries, analyzing and interpreting the results, and assessing data quality issues
Develop meaningful insights, and provide sustainable recommendations and solutions aligned with organizational goals and those within the broader home and community healthcare sector
Evaluate impacts from changes/updates to data sources and ensure that implemented solutions meet user-identified requirements

Collaborate in the development of informative and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and digital solutions supporting int
Conduct and support quality checks of data, including user acceptance testing, for new/updated data and digital solutions aligned with strategic initiatives
Navigate and, working closely with internal stakeholders, create/update master data
Provide recommendations on the commissioning and decommissioning of data sets
Support initiatives for data integrity, normalization, and standardization

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline of informatics, analytics, health sciences, social science, engineering, mathematics, business or equivalent
Excellent use in data analysis programming (e.g., SQL, R, Python, or similar tool) with the ability to design, query, and manipulate complex datasets to uncover actionable insights
Expert-level experience in data analytics and science
Skilled translator of data – able to bridge the gap between complex analytics and everyday decision-making
Passionate about data analysis, challenging assumptions with data and sharing data stories with people
Genuine interest in applying data to explain past, current, and future states
Fluent in collecting and translating user requirements into technical, data-based requirements
High-level ability to translate technical, data-based requirements into non-technical, lay terms
Thrive in an environment of supporting multiple projects and various users
Comfortable with concurrently handling large data sets in various states of cleanliness and numerous user requirements
Proficient in developing reports, dashboards, and digital solutions
Skillful in the application of adult learning theory
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
Self-motivated and independent worker balanced with an ability to take direction
Flourishes in a work-from-home environment
PREFERENCES
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Familiar with MicroStrategy and PowerBI (or other business intelligence tools)
