Fundraising Specialist – 1-Year Contract (Possibility of Renewal) Remote with travel as needed.

The Saint Elizabeth Foundation is advancing equitable, innovative end-of-life care across Canada through programs such as our National Centre for Advancing Equity and Innovation in End-of-Life Care, Journey Home Hospice, Volunteer Services, and more. The Role:
We are seeking a Fundraising Specialist to join our team and help drive mission-aligned philanthropy. In this role, you will design and execute donor campaigns, cultivate relationships, develop tailored proposals, and represent the Foundation at events. Your work will directly support the growth and sustainability of programs that make a meaningful difference for patients, families, and communities.

What You’ll Do:

·         Lead fundraising campaigns and create compelling materials to engage donors.

·         Build and maintain meaningful donor relationships through thoughtful stewardship.

·         Develop customized proposals and sponsorship packages that tell our story and demonstrate impact.

·         Represent the Foundation at events and contribute to donor recognition initiatives.

·         Support operational fundraising needs, including maintaining records and assisting with planning.

·         Collaborate with community groups and supporters looking to fundraise on behalf of the Foundation.

 

Who You Are:

·         University degree in Fundraising, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.

·         4–6 years of experience in fundraising or development, with a track record of donor engagement.

·         Strong storytelling, relationship-building, and strategic communication skills.

·         Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and graphic tools (e.g., Canva) an asset.

·         Flexibility for attending functions and events outside of traditional office hours.

·         Passion for supporting innovation in palliative and end-of-life care.
