POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and analytical finance professional for a 12-month contract opportunity to support our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), this role supports financial planning, reporting, and decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has experience working in cross-functional environments, communicates effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and brings a curious, critical-thinking mindset. The ability to analyze data, ask insightful questions, and identify root causes is essential to success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial report
- Assist in evaluating business requirements for financial initiatives and new business opportunities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, track, and report on key performance indicators
- Design and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support ongoing business and performance reporting
- Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses to support strategic and operational initiatives
- Provide insights into business processes that impact financial performance
- Develop recommendations to support financial and operational improvements
- Support pricing and costing analysis and opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Holds or is actively working toward a professional accounting designation (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably within an industry environment
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and business analysis in a fast-paced setting
- Strong technical skills, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Workday, Power BI, and Adaptive Insights are considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively
- Demonstrated curiosity and comfort using AI tools to support work outcomes is an asset
- Highly organized with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Strong attention to deadlines with the ability to manage competing priorities
