Job Summary:
SE Health is seeking a Lead, Payroll and Time Tracking, to lead the strategic integration, implementation and transformation of Workday Payroll and Time Tracking modules within our organization. This role focuses on analyzing current payroll and time tracking processes with a heavy focus on time tracking and scheduling, streamlining and rationalizing requirements, establishing governance processes, ensuring user-centered design, fostering innovation, and aligning tools with organizational goals to create a skills-based workforce and environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Implementation Leadership:
- Lead the implementation of Workday's Payroll and Time Tracking modules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR transformation strategies.
- Execute the implementation plan, including timeline and milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and business units, to ensure smooth and effective integration of Workday Time Tracking and Payroll
- Monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation process
- Ensure that the new systems and processes are effectively communicated and adopted by all stakeholders
Streamlining & Rationalizing Current Processes:
- Analyze current time tracking processes, identify opportunities to reduce complexity, standardize calculations, and consolidate requirements for improved employee pay experience and easier reporting.
- Support the Time Tracking BA in conducting a thorough assessment of time tracking calculations
- Report redundancies and areas for consolidation across business lines
- Work with stakeholders to solve inefficiencies and operational differences in treatment of time and document operationally approved workplans/report on progress
- Implement best practices for payroll and time codes and data management to enhance reporting capabilities, governance
Payroll Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing payroll processes through the capabilities of Workday.
- Evaluate current payroll processes to identify areas for improvement
- Leverage Workday’s features and functionalities to optimize and automate processes
- Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop training and support to ensure that users can effectively utilize the new processes
Governance & Collaboration:
- Establish transparent governance processes involving HR, IT, and business stakeholders to evaluate, select, and payroll and time tracking solutions.
- Set up a governance framework to oversee the selection and implementation of time tracking solution, payroll processing
- Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to review progress, discuss challenges, and make decisions
- Ensure that all decisions are made in a transparent and collaborative manner
Data Management and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate data migration and develop reporting tools to provide insights into payroll metrics.
- Oversee Payroll and Time Tracking BA project data conversion and facilitate SME validation and sign off
- Collaborate with IT to ensure data integrity and security throughout the integration process
- Collaborate and sign off on Payroll data cut over
- Create dashboards for end user consumption – payroll and time data
Institutionalize Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Monitor payroll and time tracking performance and user feedback to make ongoing improvements and ensure the solutions meet evolving business needs.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Workday Payroll and Time Tracking to ensure SE Health remains at the forefront of compliance and accuracy
- Regularly review and assess payroll processes to identify areas for improvement
- Pilot new tools and approaches to enhance the pay experience and outcomes for employees.
- Incorporate user feedback into the continuous improvement process to ensure that the platform meets the needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Required - Experience with Payroll and Time Tracking Implementation
- Nice to have - Certification in HR, Payroll, Workforce Management or related areas.
- Expertise in Payroll and Time and Workforce Management systems – scheduling and time tracking, change management, and Workday
