Role Overview

The Director of Digital Enablement and Innovations plays a pivotal role across SE Health’s business units and Digital team. You’ll partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities where innovation and technology can unlock value. This role is essential to aligning our highest business needs with innovative, emerging technologies

Role & Responsibilities 

Technology Innovation

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing insights on how to leverage technology to meet strategic goals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize digital initiatives aligned with business objectives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Technology and other teams to scale initiatives and drive adoption.

  • Lead the research, development, and implementation of innovation tools, best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Support organizational change by preparing teams to adopt new technologies and processes.

  • Drive the strategic direction and portfolio of innovation initiatives.

  • Monitor and integrate external insights (market trends, emerging tech, regulatory shifts) to inform strategic planning.

  • Utilize scenario planning and visioning to anticipate future opportunities and risks.

  • Champion innovation across the organization by energizing teams and aligning efforts with strategic priorities.

  • Collaborate with Business Transformation, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to build data-driven business cases.

  • Create and present financial models and ROI analyses to communicate the impact of innovation initiatives.

  • Manage idea intake processes and forums (e.g., Innovation Council).

  • Mentor a high-performing, inclusive team of contributors.

  • Partner with business units to refine and grow the innovation portfolio, identifying gaps and emerging opportunities. 

Business Enabler & Partner

  • Serve as the primary interface for Digital Solutions between Digital and the business units and transformation support groups, assessing technical requirements and implications driven from business needs

  • Identify opportunities for IT to support business growth and efficiency

  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to design and implement digital solutions.

  • Assess feasibility, risks, and value of new technologies and systems.

  • Conduct technology option analyses with Enterprise Architecture, IT, and Transformation teams.

  • Promote strong relationships across the business with a "best for business" mindset.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive environment.

  • Provide data and insights to support investment cases and ensure alignment with standards and compliance. 

Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders from Digital and Business teams in developing and evaluating investment ideas, responding to risks and constructing roadmap items

  • Establish cross-functional virtual teams as required to deliver the desired strategic outcome, acting as liaison between groups

  • Proactively anticipate and suggest mitigation for the impacts of changes in plans

     

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • 10+ years in strategic innovation, business development, or a related role.

  • Visionary leadership with a proven track record of driving innovation and incubation for organizations

  • Strategic thinker with a strong ability to align innovation to business goals

  • Executive presence with success influencing senior stakeholders and driving high-impact decisions.

  • Skilled at integrating market trends and regulatory insights into business strategy.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in business case development and ROI analysis.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with measurable impact.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience mentoring and developing high-potential talent.

  • Proven experience as an IT Business Partner or similar role.

  • Solid understanding of business processes and IT infrastructure.

  • Project management expertise and a track record of delivering IT solutions.

  • Ability to translate business needs into IT requirements and solutions.
