Position Summary 

SE Health is seeking a dynamic Manager of Strategy to join our high-performing Strategy & Growth team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy, you will play a key role in driving the organization's strategic planning cycles and enterprise-wide strategic execution. Additionally, this position is responsible for facilitating collaboration across teams, working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to monitor strategic initiatives, and ensuring the organization remains aligned to its mission, values, and priorities. 

The ideal candidate is an analytical and systems thinker, a strong communicator, and a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Planning & Execution: 

  • Support the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycles, including planning sessions, stakeholder engagement, and documentation 

  • Coordinate input across teams/departments to develop an integrated view of organizational priorities/plans 

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable workplans and track progress against milestones. 

 

Research & Analysis: 

  • Conduct market scans, trend analyses, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategy development and business decisions. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build alignment and drive change across business units. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders to source data, perform analyses, share results and align on recommendations 

  • Support the alignment of strategic initiatives across teams, identifying interdependencies and risks. 

 

Reporting & Communication 

  • Prepare high-impact presentations and briefing materials for the Executive Team and Board. 

  • Develop communication tools that ensure organization-wide understanding of strategic goals and progress. 

  • Develop quarterly updates on progress against the goals set in the strategic plan to ensure we are on track, identify opportunities and risks 

  • Contribute to thought leadership and internal storytelling around strategy and impact. 

 

Implementation Support 

  • Produces a range of documents including agendas, slide decks, templates and reports for senior leadership meetings, capturing and incorporating relevant action items.  

  • Supports strategic initiatives and projects on an ad hoc

  • Other accountabilities as assigned 

  • This role is hybrid, with travel as needed to Markham head office for business

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Health Administration, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is an asset. 

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, strategic planning, consulting, or a similar role within healthcare or complex organizations. 

  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools; experience working alongside PMO functions. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to distill complex issues and propose actionable solutions. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. 

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. 

  • Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and healthcare transformation is a strong asset. 

  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and initiatives. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; adept at engaging with senior leaders.
