Project Summary
The Finance Reporting & Advanced Analytics Intern will support a focused 12–16 week sprint aimed at strengthening Financial performance measurement and planning capabilities, and advanced analytics insights.
This role combines operating model redesign, AI exploration, performance benchmarking, and applied analytics to drive measurable impact across key service lines.
The intern will work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners to:
Design data-driven, measurable performance scorecards aligned to strategic priories
Explore AI capabilities within Finance functions and identify automation opportunities
Apply advanced analytics to pinpoint cost and outcome drivers and translate insights into program recommendations to improve financial impact
Design data-driven performance scorecards that enable proactive financial management and decision-making
This placement is ideal for a student interested in finance transformation, health system performance, AI in operations, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Service Model Insights
- Apply advanced analytics to OHaH bundles, SDC Transitions, and Transitions models
- Contribute to redesigning the financial planning model, enabling a shift to driver‑based planning
- Pinpoint key drivers of cost, throughput, and outcomes
- Translate quantitative insights into actionable program recommendations to improve financial performance and sustainability
- Support development of executive-ready insights, dashboards, and decision-support materials
- Design integrated, data-driven performance scorecards to monitor financial and operational impact
- Explore and assess AI-enabled tools, predictive analytics models, and automation opportunities within Finance

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in MBA, Finance, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, or related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, R required, Adaptive Planning is an asset)
- Experience conducting benchmarking, financial modeling, operating model analysis, or performance measurement design
- Interest in AI applications in finance and business operations
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic insights and executive-ready recommendations
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
- Curious, future-forward thinker who thrives in structured, high-impact projects
